It's been a long day. Piper woke up at 4 AM ready to play. So we've been on and off napping all day

We have official baby babble that is "mama" "dada" !!! She doesn't identify me as mama but after she says it I say it, then she gets shy and smiles.

Today she used her new dino walker and chased the dogs up and down the hallway. The top two teeth are coming in so there's been a lot of crying nights. She's been a pacifier baby today too. Whatever makes her feel better.

Well she walks while holding on to the couch. She's been doing it so effortlessly, like she's been doing it for months. Hopefully we can stay holding on to the couch until daddy comes home! One month!!!

Snow day

Piper and I stayed home sick yesterday and today I got called to pick her up because she had a fever. It was a blizzard out today. The main road I take to work wasn't plowed. Hello? Snow trucks let's get up and at em! I was sliding everywhere. After dropping off "little bit" at daycare I went back down said road and it was blocked off going the way I had just come. Luckily the roads were plowed on my side and I tried to get to work on time but people decided to still go 25 mph even though the roads were clear clear. Like no snow, seeing the cement - they used some time of snow melt stuff. Fort Carson where I work was the only base in town that wasn't on delay. Heck some of the school's were closed. So I get to work 30 minutes late. I got records ready for the day then jump in to assist my doc and over the loud speaker "Ms. Morrison you have a phone call at the front desk!" Luckily my doc is straight out of dental school and is still getting used to having an assistant. "Piper has a fever of 101.4 you gotta  come get her!" So I tell all 5 people I need to that I'm leaving and explain my story and hit the nasty roads of Colorado Springs. Piper and I got home, took a nap together and went to her appt. She's just fighting a cold  and no need to worry. I on the other hand am getting worse and losing my voice. I uploaded some Piper video on our youtube channel blm2008.

I luckily made some italian chicken soup this weekend and could eat on it for months. Here's the lady's blog. She's funny, from TX and has some amazing stuff going on in her kitchen Pearls, hand cuffs and happy hour

Big Kid!

Piper will be moving up to the bigger kids room next week! She's just crawling around too much for those other little babies. Piper and her BFF Molly will get to move classrooms together.

Blue Jean Dress

6 month check up

Piper had her 6 Month check up today. She is weighing in at 17.9 pounds and 28.5 inches long! She is in the 97th percentile for length. A very tall one I'm sure. We started baby food tonight. Carrots! She has two bottom teeth as of last Friday and can crawl... but only backwards. It's improvement, but we will work on direction later. She has been kind of sniffly so we propped up one end of her crib mattress with a pillow under neath so she won't get so much drainage which could lead to an ear infection.

6 Months old!

Piper has gotten her two bottom teeth! This was my first week at my new job and I love it! Of course on my first day of work Piper had a runny nose. She still has it, but is getting better. Below are some pictures from the zoo and the hot air balloon festival near our house.
